Dominic Rivkin
Rev. Dominic J. Rivkin has served as the Mission Executive for the Pacific Southwest District of the LCMS since 2014. Dominic is called to support leaders and ministries as they create new faith communities that intentionally proclaim the Gospel of Jesus to their neighbors. This includes developing strategies and partnerships and equipping leaders to engage the densely populated, culturally diverse, and rapidly growing region of Southern California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada. Prior to his work with the District, he founded and led LINC Los Angeles, an urban mission development ministry.
Dominic’s first call out of Seminary was to plant a congregation in Temecula, CA. and in 2007 Trinity Lutheran Church was born. Rev. Rivkin was trained and developed as a missionary pastor through Concordia Seminary, in St. Louis, (M.Div. 2006); and continues study at Fuller Seminary in movements of Spiritual formation and mission in the early church (D.Min. 2024).
Dominic and his wife Cassie reside in the city of Los Angeles, enjoying an urban lifestyle as much as they love exploring the serenity of the trails and mountains of Southern California. Dominic is working on a doctorate with the expectation of being granted this year (2024).
