Keith Kohlmeier
Rev. Keith Kohlmeier served as a parish pastor for 25 years in the Iowa West District, in Farnhamville and Spencer, and in the Kansas District, in Wichita. He served as President of the Kansas District for twelve years, and as a Vice President for Ministry Support with Lutheran Church Extension Fund for three years before retirement.
He has held a number of offices at both District and Synod levels, including a member of the Clergy, Call and Roster Committee of the Council of Presidents, an officer of the Council of Presidents, a member of the Synod Presidents’ Council, and a member of the Board of Regents of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He has written for numerous publications and in retirement continues to serve through Mission Nation Publishing, as a reviewer for several publications, and as a volunteer for serval agencies of the church. His wife of 48 years, Marlene, is an R.N. who has served in Oncology, School Nursing, and as a Parish Nurse. Kohlmeier and his wife have three children, Jake (Ali), Jeremy (Cori), and Emily (Steven), and six grandchildren. Together they have served in short-term mission projects in Guinea West Africa and Zacapa Guatemala.
